working with the animals

All staff working with animals are trained into the Moxie Ridge animal management-style, which relies heavily on a constantly-growing understanding of the behavior of each species (and eventually each individual animal). A proactive and observation-based approach to animal health and well-being is cornerstone to everything we do here, and this business is built on the belief that calm, healthy, happy animals produce exceptional food. When you work on the farm side of Moxie Ridge, you do not just milk or feed or clean barns, you are working with the animals.

working in the creamery

The products produced in the creamery are all developed to express the unique characteristics of the milk from our herd. Most cheeses are traditional and french in style. Creamery work entails exceptional attention to detail and a working knowledge of food safety practices - cleaning and sanitation are huge parts of cheesemaking. When you work on the creamery side of Moxie Ridge, you’ll be helping to create, age, and package the products that support the farm day in and day out.
